Oceans Week - Halifax, Nova Scotia. To celebrate Oceans Week HFX through collaboratively planned and executed events throughout Halifax (+ beyond) by offering several free and accessible ocean-focused and community activities to the public. Halifax hosts the Centre for Ocean Ventures & Entrepreneurship (COVE), the globally acclaimed Bedford Institute of Oceanography (BIO) and a short drive away on the Bay of Fundy the Fundy Ocean Research for Energy (FORCE). The H2O Home to Overseas Conference is an ideal event to engage with local ocean technology industry. The Conference will include: ocean industry showcase, international delegates, research, development and commercialisation presentations and the oceans gala dinner. This year’s keynote gala dinner speaker is Kevin Forshaw, Associate Director, Innovation and Enterprise, National Oceanography Centre whose presentation is entitled, “Innovation to Enable The Ocean Economy.”

BALT MILITARY EXPO - Gdańsk, Poland. BALT MILITARY EXPO is inseparably tied to the sea and the coast. It focuses on maritime safety and security, sea- and land-based defence and rescue systems. It is organized in close partnership with Poland’s General Command of Branches of Polish Armed Forces and the Inspectorate for the Navy. NATCON - the international tech-science conference on naval technologies for defence and security runs in parallel. This year's conference sessions comprehensively cover maritime systems and technology on military domain, maritime security (including critical infrastructure protection) and safety at sea (including maritime search and rescue). These themes encapsulate the the Ministry of Defence's priority research directions for the years 2017-2022.

Autonomous Ship Technology Symposium - Amsterdam, Netherlands. The symposium brings together ship designers, fleet owners, naval architects, classification societies, equipment manufacturers and maritime research organisations.
